Please keep our parks and undeveloped lots clean and free from trash. Dumping is not permitted.
Dumping is not only unsightly and dangerous — it is a violation of our deed restrictions.
Where to take it instead
If you have trash to dispose of — tree debris, old furniture, appliances, building site debris, or other bulky trash of that nature:
- Regional Landfill, Corsicana. Small fee per pickup truck.
- Dump and Recycling Center, behind the Lindy Mall in Malakoff. Small fee for bulky items. This site also recycles plastic, paper and similar materials for free.
- Dump site off Highway 175, between Eustace and Athens. Small fee.
Some items do not belong at any of these:
- Batteries can be taken to any auto parts store — AutoZone, O’Reilly’s, or Walmart in Gun Barrel City.
- Old tires can be taken to any tire store for disposal.
Reporting illegal dumping
To report dumping, or a fire, health or safety issue, contact the Henderson County Fire Marshal’s Office at 903-675-6157 and report the offense to the Public Nuisance Office. The county also takes reports through its online public nuisance complaint form.
